Training

Rose City WDA uses an open training philosophy with an emphasis on training under distraction. We believe that dogs are as individual as their handler and no single “correct” method of training exists for all dog/handler teams. Under the guidance of our Training Director, all club members are encouraged to participate; enabling dog/handler teams to achieve their individual goals – week by week. The ultimate goal, of course, is to obtain the Schutzhund title.

Input of team members is welcomed and encouraged, with the understanding that techniques will vary depending on what best suits each individual Dog/Handler team. Welcoming newcomers to the sport, and educating members to further their dog’s potential and the Schutzhund sport is of the utmost importance to us.
