Come out and join us for a day of fun and learning. We are a family friendly club and often grab dinner as a group after the work is done. We ask that you’re up on your feet observing, spotting, and helping where you can. It’s a long one but well worth it, we have a bathroom on site and dog water but we recommend you bring a lunch for yourself. All are welcome!

Ready to jump in? We offer an Obedience and Protection evaluation at club by request only. Your pup should come with high value food and toys, they should be ready to show off their drives and you should be ready to learn. We recommend bringing a note taking option and we do allow private video taking. Tracking evaluations can be arranged separately.

You’re hooked, aren’t you? We are too! The route to joining our club is pretty simple but it is strict to preserve the health atmosphere we strive for. Hobbies should be FUN and we need to mesh well with those around us to maintain that fun. We ask that all interested parties visit 3 times and then submit an application. At this point we’ll chat as a club and invite you to join us if you’re a great fit.

Who
we are
Rose City Working Dog Association has been around in the Portland area for well over 30 years now. From it’s time of origin it has been a passionate organization focused on working with, promoting of, and preserving all working dog breeds in the sport of Schutzhund - now IGP.
The club has sent dozens of teams to Regionals and Nationals with many finishing on the podiums and beyond.
We strive for clear communication, fair training, and confident dogs who excel in their work.
Over the years we’ve accumulated members who compete in every variety of dog sport out there growing our knowledge base and adding variety to what you may see each weekend out on the field.
We have a long history of 1-3 seminars each year and strive to put on 1-2 trials each year.
We have always been “off breed” friendly and absolutely love to see unique dogs exploring this addictive sport we live for.
